New Moon

So tickets for the movie went on sale, and me having to go to school couldn't buy them until 6 hours later - believe it or not, midnight showings were all sold out! But that was okay cause Chloe and I bought tickets for a Jacob themed party Friday night, and it was worth it. I made t-shirts (like always) and we got a bag full of cool stuff. I really liked the movie, and I think it was way better than Twilight. Chris Weitz was a good choice for director because he really did a good job (Catherine Hardwicke was just awful). New Moon is my favorite book in the series so I was glad that they stayed pretty close to the book, although as always, I was depressed by the return of Edward (I'm VERY team jacob) and so when Edward came back I wanted to scream at Bella. But yeah, it was really good and I'm gonna go see it again with Whitney tonight, and I'm uber excited. You always have to see a movie twice before you can be a REAL judge of it. At least that's what I think.

Crash!

Saturday night, October 17, I was in the car with my friend Angie - who was driving - on our way home from Dairy Queen. We were going South on Main Street when the light turned yellow, Angie sped up to turn left (onto 400 North) before it went red, she didn't see the white suburban trying to beat the light going straight. She started turning - I thought "We're not gonna make it!" I said Angie's name and then closed me eyes - hoping that by some miracle we would slip past...... we didn't. After closing my eyes I heard and felt the crash. The sodas in my lap went everywhere! When I opened my eyes we were face to face with a red Ford, the suburban had pushed us up and forwards about 20 feet! I started crying immediately, Angie asked if I was okay, I said, "Yeah, just gimme a sec." Followed by, "I have to call my mom!" I called her, she said to call Tami and 911. But she thought that in case I couldn't reach anyone at home, she ought to tell Kevin. So he, Kathryn, and Tami all came down as fast as they could. I was stuck in the truck, only able to open my door about 3 inches. The policeman asked us if we were okay before ripping my door open so I could get out. I looked, our little truck didn't look so bad, but the suburban's front was completely ripped off. Fortunately no one was seriously hurt except Angie and I have bruises where the seatbelts were, and my neck and back hurt a ton. But nothing more serious than that.
Unfortunately, her car is totaled. :(

seventeen

Happy Birthday to me! Friday was my birthday and it was a ton of fun! Mom made me french toast for breakfast, and then it was a B day so pretty easy after first period. And then I got home and we had a little dinner and Emily made a cake that was delicious and Mom and Dad bought me a camera! It's WAY WAY nice and I love love love it! Super exciting. :) And Mom also sorta bought me a Braves sweater so I wouldn't freeze at the game. I went to the BHS game at 7 with my friends Jess and Kori and we were really excited cause we were undefeated and we were playing Highland, who we hate (especially ((mostly)) me) and then...... we lost. 9-7, the most pathetic score in the history of football. It was so sad! I'm "over" it now, but still...
Anyway, So it was a good birthday over all... and
"Well Bekah, how do you feel now that you're older?"
"Well, I feel different, but it's great! Thanks for asking."

Until the next post - enjoy my little photoshop fun! :)

Rebekah Wilbur and the Half-Blood Prince

Chapter One: It's the summer of 2008, the countdown begins to the November release of Harry Potter 6. Suddenly, Warner Bros. throws a curve ball! Due to the writer's strike *cough* hopes for more money *cough*, the release date has been postponed until July of 2009! Rebekah is in agony...

Chapter Two: 150 days away from Harry Potter, Rebekah starts the countdown...

Chapter Three: June 12th Rebekah gets home from Girl's Camp, immediately checks for Harry Potter tickets - they're on sale! She gets her mom quickly and buys four tickets... a month in advance.

Chapter Four: It's July 1st! Rebekah goes to her best friend Angie's house to make t-shirts! It takes hours, but is rather enjoyable as they watch Season 1 of the OC while creating the perfect blend of awesome and nerdy in apparel.

Chapter Five: The excitement, and perhaps nausea, increases!

Chapter Six: Finally! It's July 14th, the day she's waited for! The hours turn into eons as she waits for the designated departure time, 10:00pm. The clock ticks slowly. At 9:30, Caroline and Chloe arrive, we're all wearing our t-shirts. We wait anxiously on the front porch for the front lights of Angie's car to come up the street... Finally she arrives. We take a few pictures, and then go to Megaplex 12 to see the movie.

Chapter Seven: It's 11:45 and we take our seats... Rebekah insists that no one speak to her while the movie is playing. The previews start, girls scream when the trailer for New Moon starts. Rebekah remains calm, however, when the trailer for Where The Wild Things Are begins, Rebekah freaks out...

Chapter Eight: The movie begins! Rebekah is engrossed and remains in a trance for the next two and a half hours.

Chapter Nine: The movie is over...Rebekah isn't sure what she thinks about it. She liked it, but...is confused about her feelings for it.

Chapter Ten: Rebekah insists that her sister Emily go see the movie with her. After much frustration, they buy tickets and drive down to Megaplex 12. After the movie, Rebekah decides that she was being silly the first time, and LOVES the new Harry Potter! It's the best yet!!! She recommends that everybody who's anybody go see it!

THE END!
